Jesse Cortez Music

Science by Day. Actor by night.

I graduated from Rice University in Texas and then attended graduate school for Organic Chemistry at UC Berkeley. After getting my PhD and a short stint at UCSF, I now work at Enable Biosciences working on ultra-sensitive diagnostic tests for HIV and Type 1 Diabetes among others! Changing the world through SCIENCE!

I've been singing ever since I was a little boy, but it wasn't until my post-doc years that I re-discovered my love of performing. After going to Martuni's and singing with the SF Gay Men's Chorus, I started auditioning for Bay Area Theater projects. I've been honored to work with some of the best actors and companies that the SF Bay Area has to offer!
